We are located at about 5,000 feet in the Pinal Mountains, usually
12-15 degrees cooler then in the Valley and 6-8 degrees cooler then
Globe itself. Cooler temperatures and fresh mountain air are 2 of the
reasons to board with us.

We currently have 6 indoor/outdoor runs and 15 day runs with more
on the way. Dog that stay in our day runs come inside at night and
stay in crates over night. Our indoor/outdoor runs and day runs are
large enough that several dogs from the same family can share a
kennel depending on their size.

IMPORTANT:
We advertise on Craiglist our boarding services. People go there
looking for a good deal, so do we. But we also have notice alot of
people advertising In-Home boarding for dogs that are obviously not
professionals, they are just looking to make some money on the side
and their love for animals leads them to this. While we don't blame
them, people who need to board their dogs need to understand most
of these people are operating illegally. Obtaining a business license is
easy, just file a few pieces of paper. So even if they do have business
license the real issue is the zoning. To operate a dog boarding facility
your business must reside in a area zone for business and even then
you need to get a special use permit. These special use permits are
not granted easily, they are expensive and require public forum
meetings, as well as approval from all the surrounding neighbors. The
overwhelming majority of people advertising boarding on Craigslist do
not have this permit. If caught they are subject to very large fines.
These people who are operating this way are also not able to obtain
liability insurance so you have no recourse if something happens.
Many town and cities also have a zoning code where only a limited
number of dogs are allowed on private property and any additional
dog are subject to seizure on the spot. Legally your dog could be
seized if these places have more dogs on the property then is allowed.
Because of all of this they can operate a cost less then a legitimate
business can.

Is saving a few dollars worth it to have you pet stay at these places?

Pinal Mountain K9 is a registered business. We are zoned correctly
and have obtained a special use permit that allows us to operate a
kennel facility which means we are allowed to have an unlimited
number of dogs on the property. We also maintain liability insurance.
If a day run is not enough exercise we can even run your dogs on our treadmills for more exercise. There is a $5 dollar
a day fee but for some dogs that just can't get enough exercise this is exactly what it takes to get it.

Our fees start at $20 per night for an indoor/outdoor run and $15 for a day run. The per day rate drops for dogs that
share a kennel or stay for more then 1 night or extended periods.  Reservation suggested for holidays.
For Example:
1 dog, 1 night, indoor/outdoor run = $20
1 dog, up to 3 nights, indoor/outdoor run = $15 a night
1 dog, up to 7 nights, indoor/outdoor run = $12 a night
1 dog, up to 30 nights, indoor/outdoor run = $10 a night
1 dog, more then 30 days, indoor/outdoor run = $8 a night
Second dog sharing the same kennel - 50% off
3rd dog sharing the same kennel - 75% off (not recommended for dogs over 40 lbs)

We also have a pick up and drop off service. We will pick up and drop off your dog with in a 100 mile radius of our
facility, board them for 7 days for a total of $200. Call for longer for price of longer stays and an appointment.

All dog are required to provide proof of current immunizations (5 in 1 or 7 in 1), rabies, and bordatella, the vaccinations
must have been administered a minimum of 14 days prior to boarding. We also require a flea and tick preventative
which we can apply for $15 if your pet is not already on a preventative program.
